"Success Resources" is a popular name in Singapore, I believe.
Success Resources is the leading event organizer in Asia. They organized events and promotes world class speakers such as Anthony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki, Jim Rohn, Jay Abraham, & many more.
I was invited to speak for this organization in end of 2006 and early of 2007.
As a speaking amateur, I cannot perform as great as the biggest speakers like Anthoy Robbins. Indeed, I can only present what I do before, a solid experience as an entrepreneur.
Definitely public speaking is not my strength. However it's a good experience to share what I know with the friends. |

success resources SUCKS. big time. they are supposed to be a company who teaches people how to be successful, and in many people's opinion, the first rule to be successful is to BE YOUR WORD.
what this company does is gets its telemarketers to hound you through many phonecalls and get you to appear for the courses. that's the bulk of 'customer service' you will EVER recieve from this gang.
During the 2008 national achiever's congress, I asked them to inform me of the timeslots of the speakers so that my team and I can schedule the time (not everyone of us want to attend all speakers, as it is a hodgepodge of different topics, from sales to internet marketing, to selling on ebay, etc. Clearly, we have other appointments to consider than to sit down for 3 hours of 'how to sell on Ebay' for nothing. Spoke to this lady called Attica, who, when asked about the speakers' schedule, simply told me, 'I don't know'. Now, that is simply an unacceptable response from a company that tries to teach people how to be proactive! I explained to her that people in my team NEED to know so they can arrange their time, because we already bought tickets. She said to call me back in 10 minutes. In the end, nothing. 15 minutes later, we called back but no one answered. Supposedly they knocked off. The next day, some of my associates skipped the event all together. Even though we paid for the event. SUCH IRRESPONSIBILTY from companies professing to teach the masses 'how to be successful'?? is totally UNACCEPTABLE!
Just because we purchased tickets, they think they can just ignore us and 'the problem will somehow disappear'. Ridiculous!
Words cannot even begin to desribe the fury we feel towards this company for the lack of customer service once the sale is done. We are in the service line myself and if anyone in my team behaves like their staff.... she would have been terminated long ago.
Another incident, emails regarding change of dates of events, (again, which we already PAID FOR), went totally IGNORED.
such a company absolutely has no integrity and has no business teaching others to be successful.
Lesson learnt: once we paid money, poof! no more service!
I will not take part in the debacles of Success Resources ever again. I have more than enough resources to find the speakers myself outside Singapore or their materials should I need to.
If there are any companies who come into Singapore to take a share of their seminar/public speaking market, I wholeheartedly support them and encourage them to do so!
It is time these companies learn to talk the talk while walking the walk!

Since I am pointing fingers, the emails regarding changes were addressed to someone called Purple Chin. I imagine if her chin was purple because she ignored all her customers?
This company, for customer service, I would definitely give it a thumbs DOWN! From a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst and 10 being Excellent, I give the company a deserving MINUS - 3!

sorry, I hit 'publish' too quickly before I finished tying so had to delete previous post. here, I post again.
-------------------------------- I agree with you there, rocksteady. I think they are not really serious in their after-sales customer service. I also wanted to do something for my staff training actually..... (but some bad experiences with their lousy customer service after they sign you up, except for sending you spam on your email).. I decided not to support them. for what? they don't value you and you still give them money? this year, I am happy to say none of my staff attended their training (I bought the tapes and books of whoever authors my staff suggest and stock them in the library in the office). sorry to hear that some of your team mates were shortchanged as they had to waste the tickets.
that said, if you are interested, I found other companies that deal with personal development in Singapore, though some may be smaller in scale. Fact is, they are much more sincere, rather than just seeing everyone as 'just another $ sign'.
Your comments came up after I did some googling for success resources singapore, not so much the company, but actual RESOURCES within Singapore to train people for success. haha, what a coincidence.
seems like this company has never changed after all these years. their customer service can at best be described as disgusting.

I decided not to list the other success companies as it would be bias to complain about one and propose others. But what I posted is based exactly on my experience. And if experience of Singaporeans is anything to go by, for every 1 person who complain, probably there are 99 others who are angry but silent.
Good luck to those who search for answers on the ladder of success!!!
Just choose carefully who you work with. you want to learn from those you want to model after.

I thot i was e only 1 who wld feel tht abt this success resources company. interesting thots.
As a seminar junkie :D.... i wld DEFINITELY recommend Adam Khoo n his company Wealth Academy.
He is great as a trainer! He is all PASSION whn he teaches, e most real trainer in S'pore, in my experience.
Frm an underachieving teen 2 a self made millionaire, he is damn passionate abt teaching ppl how 2 get there, from his life of self experience of failures.
When I attended his seminars, no matter where u sit, u can also feel his energy n sense his genuine-ness... he even speaks Chinese or hokkien at times n e results r hillarious! n their team really cares abt u... they follow up, they hv get-2gethers wiv INFO (really genuine n chockful of 'how-to' info) and workshops even after the seminar u paid for is over. Even now, 2 yrs after i attended his seminars, I stil recv emails from him abt real-time data on e market and timely discussions. Definitely excellent! He also replies 2 emails personally.
A very far cry from e rest of e companies like success resources, wealth mentors n those bullshit where they just collect ur emails 2 spam u. n u almost nvr get 2 talk 2 e company owners nor getting an email response from them. of course they r 2 busy signing up e next guy. always e next guy.
KAA-CHING!!! $$$ $$$ $$$
ridiculous.
